Beautiful Family

Let me introduce you to this beautiful family that I just had the privilege of photographing last week. This precious baby girl was just 12 days old and her big brother was as active as he was adorable! You will understand where they get it from when you see their beautiful mama. I included a picture of her with them that I love! The baby is crying and the big brother is not even looking but she is simply glowing. Being a mommy to a newborn is both wonderful and tiring at the same time but you can see on her face how totally content and happy she is with her life right now. This session was supposed to be a surprise for daddy but he found out about it that morning. I do not think he will be disappointed when he sees his beautiful family and it has nothing to do with the pictures I took!

Sorry Everyone!!

Sorry, everyone!! I have had computer issues the last couple of days but I think we are back up and running! I wanted to warn you to be careful of the "Facebook Virus" that is going around. I guess it is not new but it is still spreading. Don't open any videos from friends even if you trust them. The virus is spreading from account to account by acting like a video from a friend. So... if you get a video from me... DON'T OPEN IT!! It is really not from me and it is the little worm trying to wiggle in. If you have a virus scanner that is updated it should catch it but mine still cannot find it.

I also wanted to let you know I have my "traditional" frames in now and they are gorgeous!! I love them. I cannot wait to have someone's pictures framed! I am going to order several studio samples soon but if you want to see them just give me a call. I also am offering the Wild Sorbet frames but as of right now I do not have samples. We will order from their catalog and website for now. They are the "shabby chic" frames I am "wild" about. I will get a studio sample very soon!

One last thing, I added a link on the side bar describing what "Custom Photography" is. It explains to you why "Custom Photography" is not the same as what Sears or Walmart offers. I still consider my work as being in the learning stage but I do respect it enough to not consider it as being the same as what you can get from the local drug store. Remember right now I am not charging a sitting fee or artist fee. I am still building my portfolio and am very thankful to my clients who have let me "practice" on them. I am still offering a free desk print for those who let me include them on my website or in my portfolio. So if you would like to take advantage of "the portfolio stage" of my career, call and we can set up a session.

Look through my website's portfolio section and see if my style fits what you are looking for. Since I am still developing my style, we will play and do all the traditional shots you are wanting but be ready for me to try something different with your shoot. I am very anxious to do an "urban shoot". I love the look of taking something beautiful and putting it in a setting that is the total opposite. If you are up for this type of shoot, be the first to call me and I will throw in something extra with your session just for letting me fulfill this artistic dream I have!!:) I know we may have to wait for a warmer day but "urban with snow" may be cool too! Until next time, watch out for that worm!!

Anniversary Pictures & Other News

I just read a wonderful idea that I cannot wait to tell you about! Instead of an engagement session why not schedule an anniversary session! Wouldn't that be a great gift for a couple who are celebrating their 5th, 10th, or even 50th anniversary. I love, love, love doing engagement picture. I love how they are so in love and you can just see in their eyes how much they love each other. Well, I don't know about you, but I am more in love with my husband now than I ever thought possible back 17 years ago. I love the idea of having pictures of us now to celebrate our love after all this time. I am definitely going to schedule a time with a photographer friend very soon. But if you know of anyone about to celebrate an anniversary, why not give them a gift card toward portraits from a photo session designed just for them. I still am not charging a sitting fee so all you would have to give them as a gift is some credit toward their photos. If you are about to celebrate your own anniversary, this would be a great gift for yourself and your spouse! Oh, I can't wait to start booking some of these sessions. These would also make great Christmas or Valentine's Day gifts. What a perfect way to celebrate your love by capturing it in photos!

I also wanted to let you know I added some Birth Announcement and more Christmas Cards to the Portfolio section of my website this week so go check them out. Here are a few that I added...

One more thing, several people have asked to be put on a mailing list. Well as of right now, my blog is my mailing list. If you want to be notified of specials, new products, or want to read about recent shoots, you need to subscribe to the blog. You can do that by adding your email to the link on the side bar. Do you see it? Good! Well, until next time, go celebrate your marriage and enjoy your kids! Cherish your life as it is right now!

Sneak Peek!

Okay Amy, here is a sneak peek from your shoot. I always worry about how many shots I will actually be able to give you. My guarantee is around 20-40 but somehow luckily I always end with more. I guess when you have beautiful families to take, it is easy to get over 100!! Wow! I think I am going to have to become more picky when choosing pictures for your gallery. I did get the shot I have been wanting...
I just wish we could have gotten the baby in also, but I guess a shot of a 12 week old rolling down the hill probably is not what you were wanting. You guys did great and I hope you find some you like. Thanks kids for your precious smiles!

New Christmas Shoot!

Here are pictures from a shoot I did on Saturday of a very special family. The "C" family are friends from church and they have a beautiful family as you can see. We had a great time and the kids did awesome! Even after an hour and a half, the kids still wanted to have their picture taken. I love models like that. Thank you guys for a great shoot and I hope you enjoy your pictures!
