A Wedding?

You may have noticed a wedding on our slide shows. No, we really don't do weddings yet, but that was my baby brother's wedding that I had the pleasure of taking pictures of. I was not the actual photographer of their wedding but they had a wonderful photographer named Nicole Couch. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, she was fantastic! Since I wasn't the photographer, I got to run around snapping pictures just for fun. I had a blast! I know someday I will want to get into wedding photography, but for now I just got to play without the pressure of getting the perfect shot. The wedding photographer was very gracious enough to teach me a few things and let me learn from her. I am very thankful to her for that. Thank you Nicole.

The wedding was beautiful and Nicole (the bride's name also) was stunning. I am so very lucky to be getting such a wonderful sister-n-law. I may be his sister but my brother was one of the most handsome grooms I have ever seen (my husband being the most of course!) If you get a chance, go look at the slide show and just see what a beautiful wedding it was. I must say my photos do not do it justice though!

Portrait Parties!!

Do you want to earn free portrait credit by having fun with some friends? We are starting something new just in time for Christmas card season. We are introducing "Portrait Parties" to our clients! Here is how it works...

You invite 3 to 4 families to join you at your house or a nearby park for mini photo sessions. Each family will have a mini portrait session so they can get their Christmas Card pictures taken. There will be no sales pitch, no pressure to order, or no sitting fee. We will start with the hostess' family and then other families can arrive at their appointed time or come and socialize the whole time. Each family will have about 20 to 30 min. to take whatever photos they want and then we move on to the next. We will have the photos for viewing on our website the following week and purchases can be made at that time, if they wish. Again, there is no pressure and no obligation to buy.

But what if they do buy? Well, then the hostess will earn portrait credit to purchase their family's pictures that they had taken at the party. The credit can be used for portraits or family Christmas cards. The whole evening will take about 2 to 3 hours and food can be served or not, that is really up to you. We are only scheduling a few of these parties before Christmas, so you need to call soon to get your appointment on our books.

Christmas Cards are Coming!!!!

Yes, Christmas cards are on their way! We have a collection of cards for you to choose from for your family Christmas cards this year. We will have 10 to 15 available and we will offer a customizable service where we can change background colors or fonts to suit your family's personality. As promised in an earlier blog, we will have a few animal prints thrown in for all those who are a little more daring. You can call now to schedule a regular family portrait session and we will save your favorite for your Christmas cards.

Our "Limited Portrait Event" for October will also feature our Christmas cards. You can schedule your family in one of our 20-30 minute time slots and have your Christmas cards done in plenty of time for mailing. Remember these slots are limited so call soon for an appointment. The "Limited Portrait Events" are for those who don't need a lot of pictures taken and really don't have a lot of time. These will be family portraits only. If you would like individual pictures taken of everyone, please schedule a regular portrait session, so we can spend just the right amount of time capturing the shots you want.

A Recent Shoot
